Angel Vine Topiary

I had this little angel vine plant among a cluster of my winterized house plants. I saw that it had sent off several shoots and was winding its way around orchids and philodendrons; it really wanted to climb! Inspired by a topiary from one of my favorite stores, Terrain, I thought I could make my own. I braided a few lengths of heavy gauge steel wire to form a hoop to tuck into each side of the pot and then gently trained the long vines up each side of the hoop. Then I covered the pot with some reindeer moss to help preserve moisture (angel vines prefer to stay evenly moist) and for prettiness. Ivy would also work well for creating a topiary. The vine continues to send off new shoots and I just keep training them as they arrive, and over time, the topiary will continue to fill out and look even better.
