Guest Room Amenities

In our guest room, I keep a little basket filled with some of the essentials for an overnight guest. Not unlike a luxurious hotel, perhaps the mark of the best host is one who anticipates her guest’s every need so as to make them feel welcomed and comfortable. Putting some thoughtful amenities in a basket is a great idea even if your “guest room” is just your sofa. Just pull your guest basket out of the closet along with a set of fresh sheets and towels, and the hospitality will be emanating from your pores. My favorite amenities are linked at the end.

Luxurious shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bar soap and shower gel samples (I saved these Le Labo amenities from a stay at Chicago’s Park Hyatt. I love the Santal and Rose scents!)
