If you’ve never made lemonade from real lemons, do give it a try. Add to that a touch of lavender syrup instead of sugar for sweetness, and it’s a classic American beverage with a French twist. Add to that a splash of good vodka, and now you’re on vacation in the south of France.
For my lavender lemonade, I filled my glass with ice, added one pump of lavender syrup (about 1 Tablespoon) juiced a small lemon with my citrus juicer into my glass, and filled my glass to the top with cold water. If it’s cocktail hour, adding a shot (1.5 ounces) of Tito’s vodka would be a good idea — voilà!
