A Blooming Daffodil Basket

I was inspired by a beautiful flowering basket from one of my favorite home goods shops, Terrain, to create my own. The heads of my daffodils outside are starting to poke out of the ground. These bulbs I am forcing indoors should quickly surpass those with the warmer temperature inside. When watered regularly (but not soaking as to prevent rot) and placed in a bright room with indirect sunlight, the daffodils will bloom in 4-6 weeks.

I selected a single, miniature variety of daffodil ‘tête à tête’ for my basket, concealed a terracotta pot and saucer inside the basket, planted the bulbs in potting soil and topped with Spanish moss. The bulbs will seek the light through the moss and should be a beautiful sight by Easter!
