It’s hard to be minimal at this opulent time of year. Yet, the more times I have decorated (then undecorated) our home for the holidays, I am learning what really transforms and gives warmth to our space and what is just clutter and stressful to store year after year. Instead of going all out, I have pared back the holiday decorations a bit more this year, and may be inclined to keep editing in the future. This year, I relied on my edited collection of both vintage and newer decorations, touches of red in an otherwise neutral palette, white twinkle lights, and lots of fresh greenery. I ordered fresh magnolia branches to add to our outdoor planters, as well as to tables inside, and a fresh magnolia garland for the mantle. This year, we’re keeping it merry and bright!
